Selected finished projects
FETA
Flow-Based Encrypted Traffic Analysis, 2022 – 2025
The FETA project, funded by Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic, targeted the research area of encrypted traffic monitoring and security threats detection. There are 5 main software results containing hardware architectures for traffic processing, analysis and detection of malware activities, traffic classifiers based on machine learning models, public datasets, and software tools to capture and annotate datasets. The FETA team published many advances and contributions as scientific papers related to the project including two datasets published in Nature Scientific Data journal.
SAPPAN
Sharing and Automation for Privacy-Preserving Attack Neutralization, 2019 – 2022
SAPPAN aims to develop a platform for sharing and automation to enable privacy-preserving and efficient response and recovery utilizing advanced data analysis and machine learning. SAPPAN will provide a cyber threat intelligence system that decreases the effort required by a security analyst to find optimal responses to and ways to recover from an attack. SAPPAN will enable this within a single organization as well as across organisations through novel models for privacy-preserving data processing and sharing. It will enable utilizing external experts for intrusion detection and sharing of knowledge on response and recovery actions while respecting the privacy and confidentiality requirements of individuals and organizations.
